2008: Dom Post article on the "Pretty Collection":
“As an avid collector of vintage jewellery, many of Victoria’s pieces, which include pretty little moonstone and diamond earrings, dazzling pink sapphire rings, mesmerising black pearl pendants and princess like tiaras, have been inspired by antique designs.
Her exquisite work has proved so popular that it has been commissioned by designers Cynthia Rowley and Rebecca Taylor for shows at New York Fashion Week, hung around the necks of top models including Amber Valetta, seen on the catwalks at New Zealand Fashion week and in the pages of greek vogue, it has even been worn by Hollywood starlet Robin Tunney in the film Paparazzi.
Living in middle earth at the hub of the New Zealand film industry, Victoria was called upon to supply jewellery for Richard Taylors wife Tania Rodgers to wear on the famous red carpet at the 2004 oscars ceremony.
“I enjoy being able to collaborate with other creative people and work on exciting projects. Working with my sister has been a lot of fun. For the show she just had at New York Fashion Week I designed strings of oyster, white, pink and beige fresh water pearls that were intertwined with moonstones and tied together with ribbons to go along with the underwater theme she had.”
“I’m really excited about being able to introduce more people to my jewellery. It’s very different from what most people expect from New Zealand jewellers. I’m a big fan of anything sparkly and girly and I love the idea of creating timeless pieces that make you feel wonderful every day and that you never grow tired of wearing.”
